The International Environmental Modelling and Software Society, (iEMSs) was created in Halifax (Canada) in 2000. It is a non-profit scientific society, binding together different multidisciplinary research groups (ERCIM, ISEM, ISESS, MODSS, TIAS, BESAI, etc.) with different sensibilities, but with a common link. All these groups are related with the integrated modeling and assessment of the environmental systems and with the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to support the understanding and solving of complex problems involved in environmental systems. This multidisciplinarity and varied sensibility gives an added value to the iEMSs society, and to the meetings organised every even years. After the 3 previous congresses, which were very successful, held in Lugano, Switzerland (iEMSs 2002), Osnabrück, Germany (iEMSs 2004) and Burlington, Vermont, USA (iEMSs 2006), the 4th iEMSs congress will take place in Barcelona. The event organisation was commissioned to the Knowledge Engineering & Machine Learning research group (KEMLg) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Laboratory (LEQUIA) of the University of Girona (UdG). The congress will take place at the Campus Nord of the UPC, located in the north-west are of the city of Barcelona.
Sponsorship of iEMSs Biennial International Congress in Barcelona provides a golden opportunity for you to promote your products, services and brand name amongst an audience of more than 350 of the world’s top environmental modelling professionals from 30 different countries of the 5 continents. Your company or organisation will appear as a major industry player to delegates and other sponsors during the event, as well as before and afterwards in the widely distributed and professional event literature, making an enduring contribution to your overall marketing plan.
