• S13: OpenMI applications and innovations

    Page: Main.S13 - Last Modified : Sun, 29 Jun 08

    Organisers

Roger Moore, OpenMI Association/CEH Wallingford, UK (contact: rvm@ceh.ac.uk)
Peter Gijsbers, OpenMI Association/WL Delft Hydraulics, The Netherlands

    Topics

    • From the OpenMI to integrated modelling - reports from users exploiting the OpenMI.
    • The next challenges for model linking technologies - determining the future direction for the OpenMI

    Description

The session aims at bringing together the developers and users of the OpenMI Standard to exchange experiences and influence future strategy. Papers are invited describing and demonstrating the application of the OpenMI. Especially welcome will be accounts of how linked modelling has lead to improved understanding of process interactions, better predictions or more efficient use of resources, i.e facilitated the implementation of integrated management. Papers should describe a situation or 'Use Case' where the OpenMI has been applied, the process interactions that need to be taken account of and the way OpenMI has been applied to achieve this integration. Descriptions of problems encountered, how they were by-passed and recommendations for future development will be much appreciated.
