Accomodation

The conference has negotiated special rates with a number of hotels and a residence near the conference.

Important: To reserve, fill and send by fax the corresponding booking form to the hotel/residence. This is the mechanism to identify you as a conference participants and have the special rates applied.

Basic information

• Hotel Catalonia Duques de Bergara is the main conference hotel, a 10-minute-walk away from the conference venue. It is located in a beautiful Modernist building dating from 1898, but has been wholly renovated recently. Wi-Fi, solarium, swimming pool.
• Residencia de Investigadores is the researcher's residence of the Spanish Council for Research (CSIC). Around the corner from the conference venue. Simpler rooms and less services, but Wi-Fi, and some cultural event every day. Check their Virtual Tour (in Spanish, sorry). All rooms are non-smoking.
• Hotel NH Duc de la Victoria is a beautiful modernist building located in a pedestrian (but quiet) street in the Gothic quarter. Wi-Fi, 10 minutes away from the conference venue, across Las Ramblas.
• Hotel HUSA Mesón Castilla is decorated in traditional Spanish style -- check their Virtual Tour. No Wi-Fi, 5 minutes away from conference venue.

All prices are in Euros. Telephone and fax numbers below are those of the reservation centers, and not necessarily those of the hotels.

IMPORTANT: The deadline for booking rooms under the conference name has expired, and hotels will not accept direct bookings. If you still do not have a room and want one, contact the organization at altds06@REMOVETHISlsi.upc.edu and we'll do our best.
