Janusz Kacprzyk Receives the Kaufmann Prize and Gold Medal

Janusz Kacprzyk from the Polish Academy of Sciences received the VI Kaufmann Prize, Gold Medal for Research into Fuzzy Management and Economy.

This prize is awarded by the Foundation FEGI (Fundacio per a l'Estudi de la Gestio en la Incertesa, Fuzzy Management Research Foundation) and SIGEF (Sociedad Internacional de Gestion y Economia Fuzzy, International Association for Fuzzy Set Management and Economy). The 2006 Prize was awarded on November 27, 2006, in Reus, Spain.

Professor Kacprzyk has published numerous papers on interval-valued fuzzy sets and their applications, especially applications to social and economic problems.
