Barcelona, the exciting capital of Catalonia, is a sophisticated city with a vibrant arts scene and a fascinating history. Make sure to take time before or after your RANDOM'98 trip to explore the many delights that this city has to offer. The stunning architecture of Antoni Gaudi is a must for every visitor. The two museums dedicated to Picasso and Mir\'o, are other favorites. In the evening, a stroll along the Ramblas with their busy outdoor cafes and street-entertainers is a unique experience. Beautiful panoramic views of the city can be seen from the Tibidabo and the other hills that surround the city. There are also many opportunities for the practice of sports and other open air activities during the beginning of October, since the weather is still warm.
