MANAGING PRODUCTS

                1. CREATING A NEW PRODUCT

Once the domain of interest has been identified by browsing the taxonomy, a new Product belonging to that domain can be created by right-clicking on it in the taxonomy browser :

The icon next to the domain's name means that there is a validated version of the quality model registered in the domain.  Since the evaluation process consists on evaluating respect to a quality model, it is necessary that such a quality model exists and is validated.  Notice that in the opposite case the 'New Product' menu is disabled.

2. MODIFYING AN EXISTENT PRODUCT

Once the domain of interest has been identified by browsing the taxonomy, all products belonging to that domain are displayed as its children, integrated in the Taxonomy Browser. Right-clicking on a product brings up the following menu:

• 'Edit Product' allows the modification of the product's comments and supplier by means of the form shown when the product was created.

• 'Delete Product' allows the deletion of a product (all its Evaluations are deleted too)

• 'Manage Evaluation' shows the main form for managing the evaluations of the selected product.
