I studied Computer Science in UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), more concretely in FIB (Computer Science Faculty), where I reached the Engineer degree on Computer Science. I focused my learning on the following areas: Software Engineering (not only in the classical paradigm but also in the Object-Oriented paradigm), Database design, Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence, area I chose to make the final project needed to reach the Engineer degree.

From September 1999 to April 2003 I was PhD student at the Artificial Intelligence Ph.D. Program at  LSI (Computer Science Department),  also in UPC. In 2003 I got the PhD degree (with honors).  My thesis was awarded with the 2003 ECCAI Disseration Award.

I'm member of the KEMLg since 1999. Those days I was Research Assistant, assigned to the A-TEAM european-funded project.

From May 2003 to April 2005 I was postdoc researcher in the Intelligent Systems Group at Utrecht University.

From May 2005 to October 2010 I was a Postdoc Researcher again at the KEMLg. From November 2005 to November 2010 I was a "Ramon y Cajal" Postdoc Researcher.

Currently I am Associate Professor (Profesor Titular) at UPC.
