The first International Workshop on Hybrid Metaheuristics was held in August 2004 in conjunction with ECAI 2004 in Valencia (Spain). Last year, HM 2005 took place at the Universitat Poltècnica de Catalunya (UPC), in Barcelona (Spain), and the proceedings of the workshop were for the first time published in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series of Springer Verlag.

HM 2006, will take place in Agaete, a small village in the northeast of Gran Canaria (Spain).

Proceedings are published as volume 4030 of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series of Springer-Verlag. They are available online at Springer's Content System SpringerLink.
