I am a tenured Senior Lecturer (Professor Col⋅laborador Permanent) in the Department of Computer Science at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Before joining academia, I worked in a business intelligence company as a researcher designing data mining components.

Most of my research has focused in machine learning and data mining, particularly in feature selection and clustering. My current interests are in computer science education, e-learning and MOOCs.

Although I have taught different courses, I enjoy teaching introductory computer science and, at present, I am the course coordinator for the undergraduate course Fundamentals of Informatics at the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB).
