About Me

I currently work as a Data Scientist at Beawre, where I design and develop AI solutions that identify and prevent risks in business processes.
Before joining Beawre, I completed my PhD in Computing at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. During this time, I applied Artificial Intelligence solutions in various industries, including Naturgy and MyInvenio. This involved managing the complexities of creating solutions based on black-box algorithms, such as Deep Learning and Gradient Boosting Decision Tree models, with a focus on improving their accuracy, transparency, and explainability.
As a researcher, I collaborated on academic projects at the Universitat de Barcelona and the American University, applying Data Science and Artificial Intelligence solutions to various social science projects.
I served as a lecturer at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, teaching Programming to students pursuing an Industrial Engineering degree and Machine Learning to those enrolled in degrees such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Engineering, as well as in masters' programs in Data Science and Big Data Management and Analytics.
I have written several scientific papers that have been published in top conferences and journals, including DSAA, Machine Learning, and Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, and have served as a peer reviewer for academic journals.
